Maandag 28 oktober 2013 woede er een zware herfst storm,Door dat er een boom omviel, werd een gasleiding kapot getrokken door de wortels, zo ook aan de Vonkslaan in Bellingwolde. Dus ontstond daar een gas lekkage. Wat trouwens die dag maar liefst 17 keer gebeurde in de hele provincie Groningen
