De molen in Ter Haar is een kleine standerdmolen uit 1832 gemaakt om koren te malen. Door de weidse omgeving is de molen een blikvanger voor de omgeving.
Molen Ter Haar is maalvaardig en kan op afspraak bezocht worden. De gehele molen is gedekt met verticale houten beplanking en heeft Oudhollandse wieken.
Uit historisch onderzoek is gebleken dat deze molen al in het jaar 1619 in Bourtange stond en later in 1831 verplaatst is naar Ter Haar. De molen in Bourtange is een replica van deze en is in 1980 gebouwd. Lange tijd was dit de enige standerdmolen in het noorden van het land.
