Langs het oude Winschoterdiep ligt Jachthaven Scheemda. De Jachthaven heeft 50 ligplaatsen voor vaste ligplaatshouders en passanten. Op loopafstand is een winkelcentrum met diverse winkels en horecagelegenheden zoals: supermarkten, warme bakker, doe het zelf zaak, Chinees restaurant en cafetaria.
De jachthaven is prima te bereiken via het Winschoterdiep, met de auto vlakbij de snelweg A7 en met de trein direct naar Station Scheemda. In de omgeving zijn mooie fiets- en wandelroutes.
