Sporthal de Meet was zaterdag 18 februari het decor van het eerste kickboksgala.
De lokale kickboksschool Team Bijlsma organiseerde het gala onder auspiciën van de WFCA.
De World Full Contact Assossiation is een kickboksbond die in vele landen bekend is en is in Nederland een van de grootste bond. De vechters die vechten op het kickboksgala kwamen uit het hele land, maar de meesten kwamen uit lokale sportscholen uit noorden.
