Dit museum vertelt U het verhaal van de Groninger Veenkoloniën. Een gebied verbonden door water, omringd door een wereld van ondernemende zeekapiteins, landbouwers en fabrikanten. Het verhaal van stro, oud papier en karton, het leven langs het kanaal. Maar ook het verhaal van bekende Nederlanders zoals Aletta Jacobs en Anthony Winkler Prins en 's werelds eerste multinational, Willem Albert Scholten. kortom te veel om op te noemen, maar wilt U alles weten bezoek dan het uniek historisch museum: het Veenkoloniaal Museum te Veendam.
