De Museumspoorlijn S•T•A•R rijdt sinds 1994 met een historische stoomtrein en dieseltreinen tussen Veendam en Stadskanaal.
Het spoor loopt nagenoeg geheel langs de grens tussen Groningen en Drenthe, de Semslinie, en doorkruist daarmee de streek die bekend staat als de Veenkoloniën van Oost-Groningen. Met een lengte van 15 km is het de langste museumlijn van Nederland.
