De Beertsterplas is een leuk stukje natuurgebied, ideaal om te vissen. De plas heeft een strandje en heeft goede kwaliteit zwemwater. De plas is maximaal 15 meter diep maar in het zwemgebied kan men gewoon staan.
In de Beertsterplas mag niet gemotoriseerd gevaren worden.
